This year has had many challenges for Americans, however the state-legalized marijuana markets throughout the country have been fortunate enough to continue to flourish because governors deemed medical and recreational marijuana dispensaries as “essential businesses” during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Americans are already voting for President Donald Trump or presidential candidate Joe Biden at the polls, but in five states voters will also get to vote on the legalization of recreational cannabis, CNBC reported.
Voters in five states, from the Southwest to the East Coast, will have a chance to legalize the recreational use and possession of marijuana for adults. The measures would also implement taxes on cannabis sales at retail dispensaries and home cultivation. The excise taxes on sales would be comparable to that of cigarettes or alcohol.
